What are the Issues?

Traffic congestion, illegal immigration, children's needs, senior citizens' concerns, continued improvement in schools, NO unnecessary taxes, efficiency in government.

Do you have some to add?

If these are the 'issues', please allow me to ask for 'your' answers!

Sherry, I think you've hit the main issues directly on the head. I truly believe that you are the only candidate that can hammer these issues through the legislature. Your experience and dedication are unmatched!

Thanks for asking. The answers to all of these are not simple enough for the little bit of space allowed. But, here's a shot at a couple of them. In the case of senior citizens' services and children's services, we need to figure out a way to cut the red tape. It should not be an ordeal to get the services that are available. This doesn't necessarily mean NEW programs; it means making what's there more easily available. In education, we've got to give teachers more time to teach with less paperwork. With traffic, of course, there's no simple solution. When I was in the Senate, I organized the first efforts to "Replace Grace" - the old Cooper River Bridge. These efforts were acknowledged by Fritz Hollings in his speech when the Ravenel Bridge opened. Solving traffic issues, as is the case with most matters, it takes organization and working together to solve any problems.
